From title it might not be clear what am I going to teach in this article. Example will make it clear what I mean by this title.

In Hindi we say "जो करेगा वो भरेगा"(jo karegA vo bharegA), जैसा तू बोलेगा वैसा मैं करूंगा (jaisA tU bolegA vaisA maiM karUMgA),जहां जाओ वहां खुशिया है (jahAM jAo vahAM khushiyA hai)

Here we connected two parts using word pairs like जो-वो(jo-vo), जैसा-वैसा(jaisA-vaisA), जहां-वहां (jahAM-vahAM)  etc.

Sentence structure is similar in Marathi.
So when we are using “तो” in post-condition part we will use its companion viz. “जो” in condition part.

So when we are using “ते” in post-condition part we will use its companion viz. “जे” in condition part.

e.g.

तूने अभी जो कहा वो मुझे समझा नही ( tUne abhI jo kahA vo mujhe samajhA nahI )

तू आत्ता जे म्हणालास ते मला कळले नाही (tU AttA je mhaNAlAs te malA kaLale nAhI )

In Marathi also we have such pairs, like - जो-तो, जी-ती, जे-ते (jo-to, jI-tI, je-te) etc.

By changing first letter to "ज"(j) you can make companion word.

e.g word is "वहां" replace व(v) by ज"(j). It become. जहां (jahAM)

e.g word is "वैसी" replace व(v) by ज"(j). It become. जैसी (jaisI)

Below I have listed such pairs

तब/तभी  (ve)	तेव्हा (tevhA)	जेव्हा  (jevhA)
वैसा (vaisA)	तसा (tasA)	जसा (jasA )
उतने (utane)	तितके (titake)	जितके (jitake)
उतने (utane)	तेवढे (tevaDhe)	जेवढे (jevaDhe)
वहां (vahAM)	तिथे (tithe)	जिथे (jithe)

Examples :- 
1) तूने अभी जो कहा वो मुझे समझा नही ( tUne abhI jo kahA vo mujhe samajhA nahI )

तू आत्ता जे म्हणालास ते मला कळले नाही (tU AttA je mhaNAlAs te malA kaLale nAhI )

2) जब तू आता है तब मुझे खुशी होती है ( jab tU AtA hai tab mujhe khushI hotI hai )

तू जेव्हा येतोस तेव्हा मला आनंद वाटतो (tU jevhA yetos tevhA malA AnaMda vATato)

3) जो तेरे मनमें है वो मुझे बता  (jo tere manameM hai vo mujhe batA )

तुझ्या मनात जे आहे, ते मला सांग(tujhyA manAt je Ahe, te malA sAMg)

4)तुझे जैसे फल चाहिये वैसा कर्म कर ( tujhe jaise phal chAhiye vaisA karm kar )

तुला जसे फळ पाहिजे तसे कर्म कर ( tulA jase phaL pAhije tase karm kar )

6) जहांसे आये हो वहां वापस जाओ ( jahAMse Aye ho vahAM vApas jAo ) 

जिथून आलास तिथे परत जा ( jithUn AlAs tithe parat jA )

The form of “companion” will be created similar to main word using rules we have been studying in many previous articles like prepositions.

e.g.

to whom -> त्याला - ज्याला (tyAlA – jyAlA )

with whom -> त्याच्याबरोबर -  ज्याच्याबरोबर (tyAchyAbarobar jyAchyAbarobar )

for whom (plural) -> त्यांच्यासाठी – ज्यांच्यासाठी (tyAMchyAsAThI  jyAMchyAsAThI)

Sentences :-

1) जिसे चाहिये उसे दे ( jise chAhiye use de )

ज्याला हवे आहे त्याला दे (jyAlA have Ahe tyAlA de)

2) जिनके बारेमें तूने पढा है उनके बारेमें मुझे बता (jinake bAremeM tUne paDhA hai unakebAremeM mujhe batA )

ज्यांच्याबद्दल तू वाचलेस त्यांच्याबद्दल मला सांग (jyAMchyAbaddal tU vAchales tyAMchyAbaddal malA sAMg)

Similarly in Hindi we say तू जहां जहां जायेगा वहां वहां मै आऊंगा(tU jahAM jahAM jAyegA vahAM vahAM mai AUMgA), उसे जो जो चाहिये, वो सब खरिदके देना(use jo jo chAhiye, vo sab kharidake denA)

We repeat the companion word. Marathi senteces are formed exactly same way by using corresponding companion word.

Sentence example :-

1) तू जहां जहां जायेगा  वहां वहां मै आऊंगा(tU jahAM jahAM jAyegA vahAM vahAM mai AUMgA)

तू जिथे जिथे जाशील तिथे तिथे मी येईन (tU jithe jithe jAshIl tithe tithe mI yeIn)

2) उसे जो जो सब्जी चाहिये, वो वो सब्जी खरिद(use jo jo sabjI chAhiye, vo vo sabjI kharid)

त्याला जी जी भाजी हवी आहे ती ती तू विकतघे  (tyAlA jI jI bhAjI havI Ahe tI tI tU vikat ghe)

3) जब जब तू फोन करेगा तब तब वो जवाब देगा (jab jab tU phon karegA tab tab vo javAb degA)

 तू जेव्हा जेव्हा फोन करशील तेव्हा तेव्हा तो उत्तर देईल (tU jevhA jevhA phon karashIl tevhA tevhA to uttar deIl)
